Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge

Welcome to a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge, this month the theme is shaped card,

I don't tend to make many shapped cards so I have opted for a quick and simple Z fold card.
I started with a piece of cardstock 11 inch x 41/4 scored at 51/2 inch and then scored the front of the card at 2 3/4 and folded to make the Z.

for my image I created a stencil from christmas ornament die, placed it over a piece of craft card and sponged with white pigment ink.  To create a more defined outer edge I used a white pencil around the stencil before i removed it.
The image was stamped in Crumb Cake and then highlighted with some white pencil and gel pen. I also added some glitter to the roof and over the bauble.
I used a sentiment from the same stamp set for inside the card, and then added some gold ribbon around the front.
I was inspired by a card on the Inkylicious blog for my card today.

  1. What a lovely card Gail and I love how you used a stencil to get your gorgeous bauble on the card. So creative and I love the shape.

  2. OH I lOVE THIS CARD... it is fabulous.. love the colors and all the details.. and the CAS style yet it has a big bang

  3. I've never done a "Z card" - must try it - thanks for the measurements! I love the kraft background for the lovely winter scene, and also love the way you put it in an ornament - a great card!

  4. Clever to think of the Z-fold to shape your card, and it truly looks so lovely. The colors are perfect and the scene within the ornament is just beautiful. Well done! TFS

  5. Gail, this is a sensational card. I love the design and the colours. So elegant!! xx

  6. WOW! Beautiful Christmas card. Use vellum added tab delicacy. This is a unique inspiration.
